Held every two years since 1994 based on research work conducted all over Africa, the Bamako Encounters, a biennial exhibition of African Photography that is underway seeks to promote regional integration, and facilitate North-South cultural exchanges.
The event constitutes an opportunity for cultural exchanges and dialogues; offers space for African photographers to showcase their talents and meet one another. They are also a window opening new audiences to the art of photography.
