The office of Libya's interim prime minister in the capital, Tripoli, has been attacked by gunmen believed to be ex-rebels demanding payment.
Mohamed Alsabee, from the PM's media office, said there was gunfire inside the building.
A dozen pick-up trucks mounted with anti-aircraft guns are surrounding the building, says Rana Jawad in Tripoli.
It is unclear whether the prime minister, Abdurrahim al-Keib, is there.
The situation is still unfolding.
A security guard inside the building is injured, she adds.
Most people inside the building have fled, including the finance minister and the deputy prime minister.
The roads leading to the building are blocked.
