Young Africans have cancelled their plan to pitch a two-week camp in Maputo, Mozambique.

Instead, the Mainland Tanzania champions have their eyes set on a trip to South Africa.

The Jangwani Street outfit are looking forward to honing players’ skills ahead of their African Champions League match against Zamalek of Egypt early next month.

On Monday, Yanga disclosed their plan to camp in Maputo after playing a friendly match against a Nigerian premiership side, Abuja FC, on December 21.

However, Yanga chairman Lloyd Nchunga later said that they had decided to camp in South Africa to have a chance to play against some tough teams.

“To defeat Zamalek, you have to play against teams matching their calibre and that’s why we want to go to South Africa,” he said without naming the sides they would face.
